環(huán)境污染（environment pollution）是指人類直接或間接地向環(huán)境排放超過其自凈能力的物質(zhì)或能量，從而使環(huán)境的質(zhì)量降低，對人類的生存與發(fā)展、生態(tài)系統(tǒng)和財(cái)產(chǎn)造成不利影響的現(xiàn)象。具體包括：水污染、大氣污染、噪聲污染、放射性污染等。

　　人類生產(chǎn)活動對自然環(huán)境的污染主要包括兩個方面：一是工業(yè)生產(chǎn)過程中產(chǎn)生的廢水廢氣廢渣和農(nóng)業(yè)上使用的農(nóng)藥、化肥等對水、大氣、土壤、食品的污染；二是在自然資源開發(fā)和利用中，產(chǎn)生的對環(huán)境的污染。
