高質(zhì)量的試卷評講會讓師生收益非淺。有效的評講，能讓老師更成功地總結(jié)教學(xué)經(jīng)驗，分析學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)情況以改進(jìn)教學(xué)，提高教學(xué)效率和教學(xué)效果。有效的評講，能讓學(xué)生找到自己的不足和改進(jìn)學(xué)習(xí)的方法。
有效地評講英語試卷應(yīng)該堅持三個原則：

第二、認(rèn)真統(tǒng)計學(xué)生成績。在批閱完學(xué)生試卷后，認(rèn)真統(tǒng)計學(xué)生的成績是很有必要的。統(tǒng)計的項目主要有：求出平均值和求出差距。在統(tǒng)計出平均成績后，可以參照其他班的情況分析，確定該班的成績位置。平均分較低，就說明該班的成績較差。如果平均分較高，那該班的整體情況就較好。另外，還要排列出全班考生中的最高分和最低分，找出二者之間的差距。差距越大，兩級分化就越嚴(yán)重，教學(xué)的難度就越大。在排列學(xué)生成績時，最好由高分到低分排列，找出中間位置考生的分?jǐn)?shù)，并把該成績列為全班成績的中位數(shù)。在評講試題時，要特別注意中位段的學(xué)生的反映和效果。
第三、根據(jù)學(xué)生的成績和分析情況，再次分析試卷，并做好學(xué)生的錯誤統(tǒng)計。在分析學(xué)生成績后，及時的看學(xué)生答題的錯誤率，從中找出學(xué)生的典型錯題。錯誤率較高的題目，就是要評講的重點部位。這部分題目，既是學(xué)生應(yīng)該關(guān)注的，也是教師應(yīng)該詳細(xì)評講的。在統(tǒng)計錯誤率后，教師應(yīng)該耐心的查閱典型錯題，分析學(xué)生答錯的原因，反思自己教學(xué)上的不足。對于，教師很難作分析的題目，要及時與學(xué)生進(jìn)行交流，然后再確定學(xué)生做錯的根源。 第四、認(rèn)真耐心的評講試卷。在試卷發(fā)給學(xué)生之后，教師可以安排學(xué)生自主討論和簡單分析自己的試卷。教師最好要提示學(xué)生如何討論和分析。例如，要求學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的錯題，并盡力分析出錯題的知識類別：是賓語從句還是動詞不定式，還是動名詞或是其他的。
