Mother's day originated in Greece, the ancient greeks in the day to honor the mother of the gods in Greek mythology Hera. In the 17th century, mother's day spread to England, the British fasting period of the fourth Sunday as mother's day. 　　In the modern sense of mother's day originated in the United States, by Amanm, Jarvis (1864-1948), she never married, always accompany beside her mother. In 1905 s, when her mother died, Amanm distraught. Two years later (1907), Amanm and her friends began to wrote a letter to influential ministers, businessmen, lawmakers to seek support, so that the mother's day become a legal holiday. Amanm that children often ignore to the mother's feelings, she hoped mother's day to be able to let a person think more mother pay everything for family.

　　The first mother's day on May 10, 1908 in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, in the festival, she was selected as dedicated to mother's flower, and in order to survive.

　　第一個母親節(jié)于1908年5月10日在西弗吉尼亞和賓夕法尼亞州舉行， 在這次節(jié)日里，康乃磬被選中為獻給母親的花，并以此流傳下來。

　　1913年，美國國會通過了一份議案，將每年5月的第二個星期天作為 法定的母親節(jié)。母親節(jié)從此流傳開來!
